TP Solar Limited Crosses 4 GW Solar Module Output at Tamil Nadu Facility

TP Solar Limited, the solar manufacturing arm of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), has achieved a key milestone by surpassing 4 GW in cumulative solar module production at its Tamil Nadu facility as of May 31, 2025. The company also reported 1.44 GW of solar cell production. Strategically established to comply with Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) norms, the facility is equipped with advanced Mono PERC and TopCon module manufacturing capabilities, driven by AI-enabled automation.

With a sharp focus on expanding capacity, TP Solar aims to produce 3.7 GW of solar cells and 3.725 GW of modules in FY26. This milestone underscores Tata Power's commitment to strengthening domestic solar manufacturing and supporting India's clean energy goals. The facility's next-generation technologies position TP Solar as a key player in India’s push for self-reliance in renewable energy manufacturing.
