Vanda RE Signs 1 GW PV Module Deal with LONGi for Indonesia Solar-Storage Project

Vanda RE Pte Ltd, a joint venture between Gurin Energy and Gentari (via Gentari International Renewables), has signed a significant framework agreement with LONGi Green Energy Technology Co Ltd to supply 1 GW of high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules. These modules will be used in Vanda RE’s flagship solar-and-storage project in Indonesia’s Riau Islands, which includes 2 GWp of solar capacity and 4.4 GWh of battery storage.
The project is part of Indonesia’s push for renewable energy and is expected to boost local manufacturing, generate green jobs, and attract foreign investment. It represents a major milestone in regional cooperation on clean energy infrastructure. By aligning with LONGi, one of the world’s leading solar technology providers, Vanda RE aims to ensure the deployment of cutting-edge PV technology in this large-scale utility project, reinforcing the country’s energy transition strategy.
