Waaree Solar Secures 540 MW U.S. Module Order, Expands Presence in North America

Jul 01, 2025

Waaree Solar Americas, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has secured a significant 540 MW solar module supply order from a U.S.-based utility-scale solar and energy storage developer. The deal stipulates that 270 MW of modules will be delivered by the end of 2025, with the remaining 270 MW scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2028. This follows recent orders from the U.S. market, including a 599 MW order earlier this month and a 586 MW order in May 2025 worth $176 million.

The modules will be manufactured at Waaree’s Brookshire, Texas facility, which is undergoing an expansion to double its production capacity to 3.2 GW by the end of 2025. The expansion reflects Waaree’s strategic focus on bolstering its footprint in the U.S., aimed at building a resilient, domestic solar supply chain and mitigating global operational risks.

Waaree’s solar module and cell production reached 2.06 GW in Q4 FY25, up from 1.35 GW in the same period last year. The company also remained a leading supplier in the Indian market, according to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025. These developments solidify Waaree’s position in both the Indian and international solar module markets.
