WBPDCL Floats O&M Tender for 10 MW Solar Project at Sagardighi
Jun 12, 2025
The West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL) has issued a tender for the biennial operation and maintenance (O&M) of its 10 MW ground-mounted solar project located at the Sagardighi Thermal Power Project. Interested bidders must submit their proposals by July 9, 2025, with bid openings scheduled for July 11. The estimated project cost is Rs1.223 crore, and participants are required to deposit Rs244,760 as earnest money along with a 10% security deposit.
The scope of work includes routine activities such as daily solar module cleaning, fault removal to ensure uninterrupted power generation, and hourly monitoring of system parameters like string current and wind speed. Nighttime checks before solar hours and preventive maintenance of critical systems—such as the fire detection setup, weather monitoring station, transformers, lighting, and inverters—are also part of the contract. Selected firms must deploy three graduate engineers and three unskilled workers.
To qualify, bidders need a minimum annual turnover of Rs18 lakh over the past three years and must have prior O&M experience with at least 2 MW of ground-mounted or 1 MW of rooftop/floating solar projects. WBSEDCL also recently floated a similar tender for the O&M of 60 MW solar projects in February.
