Adani Power Secures 2,500 MW RTC Renewable Energy Supply Deal from MSEDCL
Apr 08, 2026
Adani Power Ltd. has been awarded a contract by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply 2,500 MW of renewable round-the-clock (RTC) power. The agreement marks a significant addition to the company’s long-term energy supply portfolio.
The award follows Adani Power’s successful bid in MSEDCL’s electronic reverse auction. Under the agreement, the company will supply renewable RTC power for a period of 25 years, starting from the scheduled commissioning date, in line with the terms outlined in the power supply agreement.
This contract builds on Adani Power’s growing engagement with MSEDCL. Earlier in March, the company had secured another long-term agreement to supply 1,600 MW of electricity from an upcoming ultra-supercritical thermal power project, further strengthening its presence in the state’s power sector.
In parallel, the group continues to expand its renewable energy footprint, with the Khavda project playing a key role in its clean energy strategy. The project is part of a broader plan to develop 30 GW of capacity by 2029, of which approximately 9.4 GW has already been installed, positioning it among the largest renewable energy developments globally.
The latest contract reinforces Adani Power’s position in delivering large-scale, long-duration energy solutions while supporting the transition toward reliable and sustainable power supply.
