Solarworld Secures INR 267 Crore NTPC Renewable Contract for 200 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited (formerly Solarworld Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) has been awarded a significant contract by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, for the development of a large-scale solar project in Rajasthan.

The contract covers the Balance of System (BOS) package for Block-IX of a 200 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic project located in Bikaner. In addition to the project execution, Solarworld will also undertake comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the solar plant over a period of three years, as outlined in the technical specifications.

Valued at approximately Rs267.53 crore, including taxes, the order represents a major domestic project win for the company. The scope of work primarily focuses on BOS components, which are critical for supporting and integrating solar power generation into the grid efficiently.

The project is expected to be completed within a timeline of 19 months and will have a capacity of 200 MWac. The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity, and Solarworld has confirmed that there are no related party transactions involved, nor do its promoters or group companies hold any interest in the awarding entity.

This development further strengthens Solarworld’s position in India’s growing renewable energy sector, particularly in utility-scale solar deployments.
