NHPC Issues Tender for 30.93 MW Rooftop Solar Projects Across Haryana, Bids Due April 22

Mar 26, 2026

NHPC has invited bids for the installation of grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 30.93 MW across multiple government buildings in Haryana, further expanding its renewable energy initiatives.

The bidding deadline has been set for April 22, 2026, with bid openings scheduled for April 24. The projects will be implemented across several districts, including Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Karnal, Panchkula, Rohtak, and others, ensuring widespread deployment of rooftop solar infrastructure across the state.

As part of the tender requirements, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit that varies depending on the district, along with a nominal tender fee. Additionally, selected developers will be required to pay a project management consultancy charge on a per kilowatt basis.

The scope of work covers the complete lifecycle of the projects, including design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and long-term operation and maintenance. Developers will also be responsible for securing all necessary approvals and permits. The projects are expected to be completed within nine months from the signing of the power purchase agreement.

To promote domestic manufacturing, the tender mandates a minimum level of local content for eligible suppliers. Financial and technical criteria have also been outlined, including requirements related to net worth, turnover, and access to funding, ensuring that only capable bidders participate in the process.

This initiative highlights NHPC’s continued focus on decentralised solar adoption while supporting clean energy deployment across public infrastructure in Haryana.
