Solar91, Srinivasa Constructions Secure Projects in HESCOM’s 95 MW Solar Tender

Seven developers have emerged as successful bidders in Hubballi Electricity Supply Company’s (HESCOM) auction for setting up 95 MW of solar power capacity in Karnataka. The projects fall under Component C of the PM-KUSUM scheme and will be implemented across 13 separate solar installations.
The companies awarded projects include Sri Srinivasa Constructions, Anil Patted Solar Energy, Mahadev Damodar Dixit, Solar91 Cleantech, Suresh Vijaybasappa Patted, G G Anandswamy Gaddadevarmath, and Mailareppa Bhimappa Basidoni.
Tariffs discovered in the auction range between Rs2.76 ($0.031)/kWh and Rs2.85 ($0.032)/kWh, remaining below the Rs2.89 ($0.032)/kWh ceiling tariff approved by the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission.
The selected projects will be executed under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model, with the commercial operation date scheduled for March 31, 2026. HESCOM had issued the tender in December 2025.
Under the scope of work, developers will be responsible for the design, supply, survey, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar plants aimed at solarizing agricultural feeders at the substation level within HESCOM’s service area. The projects also include the deployment of 22,000 irrigation pump sets, construction of associated 11 kV transmission lines, and installation of remote monitoring systems.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has approved 65,000 irrigation pumps for HESCOM under the PM-KUSUM program, of which 22,000 have already been allocated.
As per tender conditions, the projects must utilize domestically manufactured solar cells and modules listed under MNRE’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM – List I). Developers are also required to maintain a minimum annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 19%.
HESCOM will procure surplus generation of up to 10?ove the CUF at 75% of the applicable power purchase agreement (PPA) tariff.
Only commercially proven and operational technologies are permitted to reduce technical risks and ensure timely completion of the projects.
