ACME Solar Secures 25-Year SECI PPA for 190 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project at Rs 4.72/Unit
Feb 19, 2026
ACME Solar Holdings has entered into a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 190 MW wind-solar hybrid power project that will deliver assured peak electricity supply.
The agreement, executed through ACME Solar’s subsidiary ACME Urja One, spans 25 years and sets a fixed tariff of Rs 4.72 per unit. The project is part of a larger 380 MW hybrid capacity, with the initial 190 MW now formally tied up under the signed PPA.
Strict Performance and Peak Supply Commitments
Under the terms of the contract, the project must maintain a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 50 percent. Additionally, it is obligated to meet at least 80 percent of daily peak power demand requirements, ensuring reliable supply during high-consumption hours.
The tariff has received regulatory approval from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, while the power procurement plan has been cleared by the relevant State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Connectivity, Financing and Timeline Secured
Grid connectivity for all key components — solar generation, wind capacity, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) — has already been secured. The Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) for the project has been set for February 27, 2028.
The company confirmed that the project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation under its existing sanctioned Phase II framework. Transmission and connectivity infrastructure timelines are aligned with the project’s commercial operation schedule as stipulated in the PPA.
Expanding PPA Portfolio
With this latest agreement, ACME Solar’s total PPA-signed capacity has increased to 5,820 MW. Of this, 1,240 MW has been contracted during the current financial year alone, reflecting accelerated capacity tie-ups and portfolio growth.
The hybrid project strengthens ACME Solar’s presence in firm and dispatchable renewable energy solutions, particularly as demand grows for power projects capable of delivering reliable peak-hour supply alongside competitive tariffs.
