Electric two-wheeler manufacturer MATTER has achieved a significant milestone by securing over 100 granted patents, alongside filing more than 400 patents across various electric mobility technologies. This development highlights the company’s strong emphasis on in-house research and product-driven innovation.

The company noted that its patented technologies are not just conceptual but are actively integrated into its vehicles on the road. These innovations contribute to enhanced performance, improved reliability, and lower overall ownership costs for customers.

MATTER’s flagship electric motorcycle, AERA, showcases notable performance capabilities, including a top speed of 124 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. It also offers a riding range of up to 182 km per charge, which can extend to 226 km under optimized conditions. In addition to performance benefits, users can achieve annual savings of up to Rs65,000, reinforcing the economic appeal of the company’s EV solutions.

Mohal Lalbhai, CEO of MATTER, stated that crossing the 100-patent mark reflects India’s potential to lead in original electric vehicle innovation. He emphasized that the company is focused on building technologies from the ground up to redefine performance, riding experience, and value delivery in electric motorcycles.

Kumar Prasad Telikapalli, CTO of MATTER, added that the company’s patents are directly powering real-world products used by customers daily. He highlighted that the strong conversion rate from patent filings to approvals demonstrates the depth of engineering within the organization, with a robust pipeline of innovations still in progress.

As India’s electric vehicle market continues to expand, MATTER’s growing intellectual property portfolio signals a shift toward deep-tech innovation. With a substantial number of patents already granted and many more under development, the company is positioning itself as a key contributor to the future of electric mobility in the country.
