GGGI India and HAREDA Host Stakeholder Workshop on Low-Carbon Building Transition

GGGI India and the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) successfully conducted a Stakeholder Management Workshop on Building Registry Development under the Asia Low Carbon Building Transition Project, funded by the Government of Germany. Held on January 31, 2025, in Panchkula, Haryana, the event gathered 30+ experts from academia, government, and industry.

Key highlights include:

• Launch of the Building Registry brochure and a report on Haryana’s building sector.
• Preliminary data collection from 600 buildings, with 110 undergoing detailed carbon assessment.
• 22 buildings to be shortlisted for retrofits using HEAT GmbH’s carbon assessment tool.

Haryana’s commitment to sustainable building practices was reaffirmed by Shri S. Narayanan, IFS, DG of HAREDA. The initiative will continue with more workshops and deep-dive assessments. Interested participants can apply via the link provided.
