Hindustan Power Inks PSA with APDCL for 130 MW Power Supply from Annupur Plant
Dec 03, 2025
Hindustan Power has entered into a Power Supply Agreement (PSA) with Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd. (APDCL) to deliver 130 MW of electricity from its Annupur power plant located in Madhya Pradesh.
The agreement, executed through its subsidiary MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Ltd., has been finalized under the Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) model. This PSA follows the Letter of Award issued by APDCL earlier in the year and marks a key development in addressing Assam’s rising energy requirements.
Hindustan Power commenced electricity supply to Assam in October 2025, ensuring steady power availability for both residential and industrial consumers.
Commenting on the development, Ratul Puri, Chairman of Hindustan Power, said the partnership highlights the company’s commitment to delivering reliable, efficient power to state utilities. “We are pleased to support Assam’s power needs and contribute to the state’s broader development objectives,” he stated.
By initiating supply to Assam, Hindustan Power strengthens its contribution to regional energy security while supporting India’s long-term transition toward a more resilient and sustainable power infrastructure.
Hindustan Power continues to operate as a diversified power generation company with a strong focus on renewable and transitional energy solutions.
