ACME Solar Appoints KR Thiyagarajan as President – EPC

ACME Solar has named KR Thiyagarajan as its new President – EPC, assigning him responsibility for leading execution across all renewable energy projects. His mandate includes enhancing execution efficiency, optimising project costs, and integrating advanced technologies as the company moves toward its goal of achieving 10 GW of operational contracted capacity by 2030. He has also been inducted as a Senior Management Personnel.

Thiyagarajan brings over 35 years of experience in the power sector, covering solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EHV transmission and distribution, and thermal power. He has overseen large-scale renewable energy projects from planning through commissioning and has delivered multi-gigawatt portfolios across the country. His prior leadership roles span Reliance Industries (New Energy), Tata Power Solar, Avaada Power, and Welspun Energy.

His expertise includes project and contract management, techno-commercial operations, tendering and bidding, regulatory compliance, stakeholder coordination, and building high-performance project teams.

Thiyagarajan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology (Bharthiyar University), graduating in 1989, and an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad (Class of 2011).
