ACME Solar Subsidiary Secures CERC Approval for Nationwide Power Trading

ACME Greentech Eighth Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd., has received a Category-IV interstate electricity trading licence from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), allowing it to trade power across India for the next 25 years.

The approval enables ACME to participate in interstate power trading, buying and selling electricity across regions and generating additional revenue from trading margins. The company described this as a major step in strengthening its renewable energy and power market strategy.

In an official statement, ACME said the licence “enhances our role in India’s renewable ecosystem and unlocks new opportunities in power market participation.”

The licence is effective immediately and will remain valid unless revoked by the regulator.
