ACME Solar Wins 220 MW Solar-Plus-Storage Project Under RUMSL Tender in Madhya Pradesh
Feb 10, 2026
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has secured a Letter of Award from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd (RUMSL) for a 220 MW solar project integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Madhya Pradesh.
The award forms part of a 440 MW capacity tender issued by RUMSL for development at the Morena Solar Park. The tender was conducted under tariff-based competitive bidding guidelines, with the e-reverse auction held in September 2025.
Under the project framework, ACME Solar will be required to supply power at a maximum annual capacity utilisation factor of 35%, along with four hours of peak power delivery—two hours each during the morning and evening—at an annual availability of 95%. Energy required for the evening peak will be charged from the project’s solar generation, while power for the morning peak will be provided free of cost by the procurer during night-time hours.
ACME Solar said that land and evacuation infrastructure above the 33 kV level will be provided by RUMSL as part of the Morena Solar Park facilities. The project will also benefit from reduced GST rates already passed through and will be required to comply only with ALMM List-I requirements.
The hybrid configuration will combine solar generation and battery storage to meet contracted supply obligations over the 25-year tenure of the Power Purchase Agreement. The PPA is to be executed with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd (MPPMCL) and RUMSL.
ACME Solar currently has a diversified portfolio of 8,071 MW across solar, wind, storage, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid projects. Of this, 2,966 MW is operational contracted capacity, while 5,105 MW is under construction, including around 17 GWh of BESS installations. The company said its under-construction PPA-signed portfolio stands at 2,664 MW.
