Adani Green Commissions 307 MW of Solar, Wind, and Hybrid Capacity in Gujarat

Jan 01, 2026

New renewable assets brought online through multiple step-down subsidiaries at Khavda. Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has brought online a combined 307.4 MW of renewable energy capacity in Gujarat through its step-down subsidiaries, further expanding its multi-technology portfolio at the Khavda renewable energy hub.

According to the company, the projects were commissioned on December 31, 2025, and will begin commercial power generation from January 1, 2026.

Project-wise capacity breakdown

The newly operationalized capacity comprises a mix of solar, wind, and hybrid installations developed by AGEL’s subsidiaries:

Adani Renewable Energy Forty One – Wind project of 200 MW

Adani Green Energy Twenty Five C – Solar project with a capacity of 75 MW

Adani Green Energy Twenty Six B – Wind project of 25 MW

Adani Green Energy Twenty Six B – Hybrid renewable project of 50 MW

Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Five – Wind project of 31.2 MW

Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Five – Hybrid project with a capacity of 126 MW

Following the commissioning of these assets, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity has risen to 17,237.2 MW.

Long-term capacity expansion roadmap

The company has set an ambitious target of achieving 30 GW of operational renewable capacity by 2029, with Gujarat continuing to play a central role in its expansion strategy.

In November 2025, AGEL announced plans to invest approximately Rs 150 billion (~$1.7 billion) in two pumped storage projects in Assam, with a combined capacity of 2,700 MW, marking its entry into large-scale energy storage.

Earlier capacity additions at Khavda

Khavda has emerged as a key development site for the company. In September 2025, AGEL operationalized 408.1 MW of renewable energy capacity at the location through its step-down subsidiaries. Earlier the same month, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty-Six commissioned an additional 125 MW solar project at the site, reinforcing the company’s diversified capacity build-out in Gujarat.

Financial and operational performance

During the second quarter of FY 2026, AGEL reported revenue of Rs 32.49 billion (~$368.5 million), reflecting a 4.3% year-on-year decline compared to Rs 33.96 billion (~$385 million) in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Despite the revenue dip, the company’s operational capacity reached 16.7 GW by the end of the first half of FY 2026, marking a 49% year-on-year increase. Greenfield projects accounted for 74% of AGEL’s total capacity additions during FY 2025, underscoring its focus on new renewable developments across solar, wind, and hybrid technologies.
