Mar 12, 2026
Aerem Solutions has appointed Nilesh Malani as Executive Director, tasking him with leading the company’s consumer business, marketing strategy, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce initiatives as it expands its footprint in India’s clean energy market.
Malani brings over two decades of leadership experience across several major Indian corporations and will join Aerem’s leadership team to strengthen its customer-centric strategy and expand its digital commerce capabilities in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
Prior to joining Aerem, Malani served as Global Chief Marketing Officer at Waaree Group, where he played a significant role in transforming the company’s brand positioning and supporting its initial public offering (IPO), which became one of the most heavily subscribed public offerings in India. During his tenure, he also led business development initiatives for the emerging flexible solar module segment, helping expand the company’s market reach.
Earlier in his career, Malani worked as Chief Marketing Officer at Polycab India Ltd., where he established the company’s marketing function and helped scale product offerings in the wires and fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) segments. He also led initiatives to revamp the brand identity, secured international sponsorship partnerships, developed a digital marketing ecosystem, and launched the company’s e-commerce platform.
His professional experience also includes leadership roles at companies such as JSW Steel, Castrol, and Asian Paints, where he contributed to retail expansion, brand development, and market growth strategies.
Commenting on the appointment, Anand Jain said the company is entering a crucial growth phase and that Malani’s expertise in brand building, digital innovation, and business scaling will help strengthen its consumer-focused strategy and accelerate the expansion of its digital platforms.
He added that Malani will support Aerem’s efforts to deliver integrated sustainable energy solutions, including solar technologies and net-zero financing, through platforms such as Netzero NBFC and Sunstore.
Malani stated that Aerem operates at the center of India’s energy transition and presents an opportunity to build a technology-driven consumer platform for clean energy adoption. He added that his focus will be on leveraging data and digital technologies to create a seamless D2C experience and position Aerem as a trusted partner for households and businesses seeking sustainable energy solutions.
The appointment reflects Aerem’s broader strategy to strengthen consumer engagement and expand digital clean energy services, as demand for distributed renewable energy solutions continues to rise across India.
