Ahead of a Global Energy Transition, IEW 2026 Set to Host High-Level Dialogues in Goa
Nov 26, 2025
India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, scheduled from 27–30 January in Goa, is gearing up to bring together global energy leaders, policymakers, innovators, and industry experts at a pivotal moment for the sector. Organised under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the fourth edition is positioned as one of the largest energy platforms worldwide, featuring over 700 exhibitors, 550 speakers, and more than 120 conference sessions.
Covering a wide spectrum of themes — including hydrogen, biofuels, renewables, LNG, nuclear energy, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence — the event will take place against the backdrop of India’s expanding city gas distribution and petrochemicals sectors, both central to the nation’s goal of building a diversified, resilient energy system.
IEW 2026 comes at a defining moment for India, now the world’s fastest-growing major economy and the third-largest energy consumer. The country faces the dual imperative of ensuring energy security while rapidly scaling up clean energy. The event aims to serve as a strategic platform to address these priorities through ministerial roundtables, CEO dialogues, and robust international partnerships.
India has committed to achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and increasing the share of natural gas to 15% of the energy mix. Backed by an estimated USD 150 billion in reforms and investments, the nation is pushing forward an ambitious low-carbon transition.
IEW 2026 also builds on the strong momentum of previous editions, which attracted tens of thousands of participants from more than 120 countries. This year’s event aims to strengthen India’s role as a leading voice in global energy diplomacy, focusing on key themes such as affordability, equity, investment, workforce development, resilience, and technology innovation.
