Alpex Solar Bags Rs 65 Crore MSEDCL Order for Solar Water Pump Systems in Maharashtra

Dec 30, 2025

Solar photovoltaic module manufacturer Alpex Solar has secured a contract valued at approximately Rs 65 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply of off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems.

The order has been awarded under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and the PM-KUSUM Component B scheme, both of which are flagship government initiatives designed to accelerate the adoption of clean energy in the agricultural sector and reduce reliance on conventional grid power.

Under the contract, Alpex Solar will deploy solar water pumping systems across multiple districts in Maharashtra, with execution scheduled to be completed within 60 days, in line with the provisions outlined in the Letter of Empanelment.

The company stated that the order represents a key milestone in its growth trajectory and further reinforces its presence in India’s expanding market for solar-powered irrigation and decentralised renewable energy solutions. Solar water pumps are increasingly viewed as a vital tool for sustainable agriculture, enabling reliable daytime power for farmers, lowering operating costs, and cutting carbon emissions.

Commenting on the development, Ashwani Sehgal, Managing Director of Alpex Solar, said the order reflects sustained confidence in the company’s manufacturing capabilities, engineering expertise, and execution track record. He added that continued success under government-led renewable energy programmes highlights the trust placed in Alpex Solar’s technology standards, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Alpex Solar operates across multiple segments of the renewable energy value chain, including solar PV module manufacturing, EPC services, solar pumping solutions, RESCO-based solar power projects, and international trading, positioning the company as an integrated player in India’s clean energy ecosystem.
