Amit Sharma Appointed to Lead Schneider Electric’s Power Products and Digital Energy Business in India

Schneider Electric has announced the appointment of Amit Sharma as Vice President – Power Products and Digital Energy for the Greater India Zone, succeeding Nikhil Pathak, who retired after 15 years with the company. In his new role, Sharma will oversee the Power Products and Digital Energy divisions with full P&L responsibility, bringing nearly 29 years of experience across global and Indian markets.

Having spent 15 years at Schneider Electric, Sharma has held several key leadership positions, including international assignments in France where he led global marketing, digital transformation, and product development for the Medium Voltage (MV) segment.

Commenting on the appointment, Deepak Sharma, Zone President, Greater India, and MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, said that Amit’s strategic vision, leadership, and customer-focused approach will drive innovation and strengthen the company’s Power Products and Digital Energy business.

Sharing his enthusiasm for the new role, Amit Sharma said he is honored to take on this responsibility and aims to accelerate innovation, enhance Schneider Electric’s digital and software portfolio, and reinforce customer-centric growth in the Greater India Zone.

Before joining Schneider Electric, Sharma spent 14 years with ABB, and has been recognized for leading initiatives such as the Power Systems “India for India” program, which emphasized localized product development in collaboration with Lauritz Knudsen MV R&D teams.
