AMPIN Energy Enters Long-Term Renewable Power Deal with Air Liquide in India

Dec 16, 2025

AMPIN Energy Transition has entered into a long-term renewable Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Air Liquide to supply clean electricity to the latter’s manufacturing facility in Jhagadia, Gujarat. The agreement involves the delivery of 6.6 MW of renewable power from AMPIN’s wind-solar hybrid project, meeting nearly 60 percent of the facility’s total electricity demand.

The renewable energy supply is expected to help Air Liquide significantly reduce its carbon footprint, with the project projected to cut approximately 22,000 tonnes of CO? emissions annually once fully operational.

Commenting on the development, Benoit Renard, General Manager, Air Liquide India, said that sourcing low-carbon energy is central to the company’s climate roadmap. He noted that the PPA marks a tangible step toward decarbonising Air Liquide’s operations in India while aligning with the group’s 2035 climate goals and supporting the country’s broader energy transition.

From AMPIN Energy’s perspective, the partnership underscores a shared commitment to advancing clean energy adoption within India’s industrial sector. Pinaki Bhattacharyya, Founder, Managing Director and CEO of AMPIN Energy Transition, stated that the collaboration not only supports Air Liquide’s sustainability objectives but also reflects AMPIN’s mission to accelerate renewable energy deployment across industrial consumers in India.

Once commissioned, the hybrid project will play a key role in increasing renewable energy penetration in industrial power consumption while contributing to long-term emissions reduction.
