APAR Industries to Source Hybrid Wind-Solar Power from CleanMax Project in Gujarat
Mar 20, 2026
APAR Industries has announced plans to procure hybrid captive power from a wind-solar project being developed by Clean Max Rudra, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) of Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions, in Gujarat.
The arrangement includes sourcing 7.34 MW of solar power along with 9.90 MVA capacity from wind turbine generators located in Kalikanagar, Rajkot. As part of the structure, APAR will hold a 26% stake in the SPV, while Clean Max will retain the remaining 74% and continue to manage operations of both the project and the entity.
To support this initiative, APAR has already invested approximately Rs113.8 million in the SPV for three wind turbines. The company’s board has further approved an additional investment of Rs107.6 million through the purchase of fresh equity shares, maintaining its existing shareholding proportion.
APAR has been steadily expanding its renewable energy footprint. The company previously commissioned a hybrid system combining 3.30 MW of wind capacity and 2.80 MW of solar, which has significantly increased the share of renewable energy in its overall consumption—from 3.7% in FY2023 to 9.9% in FY2025.
In FY2025, APAR’s total renewable energy consumption reached 18,638 MWh, reflecting its growing commitment to clean energy adoption.
Beyond power procurement, the company is also focusing on sustainable product innovation, including biodegradable transformer oils and advanced cables designed for renewable energy applications. These developments aim to enhance operational efficiency while reducing the environmental impact of energy infrastructure.
