APM Projects Secures DMRC Contract for 5 MW Rooftop Solar Installations

Jan 16, 2026

APM Projects has emerged as the successful bidder in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) auction to develop 5 MW of rooftop solar capacity across its Phase-IV metro rail network under the RESCO model.

The company quoted a tariff of Rs3.68 per kWh to win the tender, which was originally issued in July 2025. The rooftop solar systems will be deployed at 15 elevated metro stations.

Under the scope of work, APM Projects will undertake the design, engineering, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar systems. The contract also includes operation and maintenance services for a period of 25 years.

APM Projects is required to provide a minimum two-year warranty covering all equipment, materials, and workmanship. Only solar modules listed under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) are permitted for use in the project.

The rooftop systems must be commissioned within 18 months and are required to maintain a minimum performance ratio of 75% throughout operations.

Recently, APM Projects also won an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from the Military Engineer Services (MES) to set up a 1 MW grid-connected solar project at Air Force Station Suratgarh in Rajasthan. The project, valued at Rs67.4 million, includes the complete EPC scope covering design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning.
