Arevon Energy Commissions 430 MWdc Kelso Solar Project in Missouri, US
Mar 10, 2026
Arevon Energy has announced the commissioning of the 430 MWdc Kelso Solar Project located in Scott County. The project represents an investment of over $500 million and significantly expands the solar power capacity of the state.
Developed, constructed, and operated by Arevon, the two-phase solar facility marks the company’s first utility-scale solar project in Missouri. According to the company, the project has boosted the state’s solar generation capacity by nearly 50% and produces enough electricity annually to power more than 62,000 homes.
Commenting on the development, Justin Johnson said the project reflects years of coordinated development and collaboration with local authorities, landowners, and project partners. He noted that Kelso Solar will contribute to delivering reliable and domestically generated clean energy for decades.
Arevon is also expanding its renewable energy footprint across the Midwestern United States. In recent months, the company began operations at the Ratts 1 and Heirloom Solar Projects in Indiana, representing a combined investment of $400 million and adding 264 MWdc of solar capacity.
Additionally, the company is progressing with the $200 million, 124 MWdc Big Muddy Solar Project in Illinois, which is currently under construction.
Beyond its own developments, Arevon has also developed and managed construction of other large solar projects for local utilities, including the 251 MWdc Gibson Solar Project and the 228 MWdc Posey Solar Project, both located in Indiana.
Through these projects, Arevon continues to expand its clean energy portfolio across the US, supporting the transition toward large-scale renewable power generation and regional energy diversification.
