AXITEC Energy Brings 580 kW Solar Capacity Online at Nashik’s Umiyaji Stone Crusher

Jan 12, 2026

AXITEC Energy India Pvt. Ltd. has successfully commissioned a 580 kW solar photovoltaic power plant at Umiyaji Stone Crusher in Nashik, further advancing the use of renewable energy within power-intensive industrial operations.

The solar installation is expected to generate approximately 7.42 lakh units of electricity annually, significantly reducing the facility’s dependence on grid power. The project will also help avoid nearly 609 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year, supporting the site’s sustainability objectives.

Stone crushing is recognised as one of the most energy-intensive industrial activities, requiring uninterrupted and cost-effective power supply. The newly commissioned solar plant is designed to lower operating energy costs, enhance energy reliability, and strengthen the facility’s long-term environmental performance.

The project was executed by Polaris Renewable Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which acted as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner. AXITEC supplied its high-efficiency solar modules, working in close coordination with Polaris to ensure optimal system design, performance, and durability.

Commenting on the commissioning, Tanmoy Duari, CEO of AXITEC Energy India Pvt. Ltd., said the project highlights how solar technology can deliver measurable operational benefits, even in demanding industrial settings. He added that AXITEC remains committed to supporting industrial decarbonisation through reliable products and strong EPC collaborations.

Gunpreet (Kunwar) Gujral, Director at Polaris Renewable Solutions Pvt. Ltd., noted that the project demonstrates the company’s capability to implement robust solar solutions for heavy industrial applications, enabling sustained energy savings and improved sustainability outcomes for clients.

With annual clean power generation exceeding 7.4 lakh units, the project aligns with India’s renewable energy and climate targets, reinforcing solar power as a practical and scalable solution for industrial sustainability. AXITEC Energy India stated that it will continue to expand its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) solar segment, focusing on solutions that balance performance, economic viability, and environmental responsibility.
