AXITEC Energy India Supplies 600 Wp Bifacial Modules for 1.25 MWp Solar Project in Maharashtra

AXITEC Energy India, the Indian subsidiary of Germany-headquartered AXITEC Energy GmbH, has supplied its AXIbiperfect GXXL TS 600 Wp bifacial solar modules for a 1.25 MWp photovoltaic project in Dindori, Nashik, Maharashtra. The project, developed by Polaris Renewable Solutions, is expected to enhance clean energy generation in the region while demonstrating the growing adoption of high-efficiency bifacial solar technology in India's commercial and utility-scale solar market.

Polaris Renewable Solutions selected AXITEC's latest-generation bifacial modules to maximise energy production, improve long-term system performance and enhance the overall financial viability of the project. Designed to generate electricity from both the front and rear surfaces, bifacial modules capture reflected sunlight from the ground in addition to direct solar radiation, resulting in higher energy yields compared to conventional monofacial modules under suitable installation conditions.

The AXIbiperfect GXXL TS 600 Wp modules are engineered to deliver high power output, durability and reliable performance across varying climatic conditions. Their advanced cell architecture and robust construction are expected to improve the plant's lifetime energy generation while reducing the Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCOE)β€”a key metric used to assess the overall cost competitiveness of solar power projects over their operational lifespan.

The deployment further strengthens AXITEC Energy India's presence in the country's rapidly expanding utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) solar segments, where project developers are increasingly prioritising high-efficiency photovoltaic technologies capable of delivering greater energy output and improved project returns. As module efficiencies continue to improve, developers are able to install higher-capacity systems within the same land area, making advanced bifacial modules an increasingly attractive option for large-scale installations.

Commenting on the project, Tanmoy Duari, Chief Executive Officer of AXITEC Energy India, said the selection of the company's premium bifacial modules reflects growing confidence among EPC contractors and developers in high-performance photovoltaic technologies. Bifacial solar modules have become one of the fastest-growing technologies in the global photovoltaic industry due to their ability to increase electricity generation by capturing solar radiation from both sides of the panel. Depending on site conditions such as ground reflectivity, mounting height and installation design, bifacial systems can typically generate 5–20 percent more electricity than conventional single-sided modules. This additional energy production contributes to lower electricity generation costs and improved returns for project developers over the lifetime of the installation.

India's solar industry has witnessed a rapid shift towards advanced cell technologies such as TOPCon, Heterojunction (HJT) and high-power bifacial modules as developers seek to maximise project efficiency while reducing lifecycle costs. These technologies are increasingly being deployed across utility-scale solar parks, open-access projects and commercial rooftop installations to support the country's expanding renewable energy programme.

The Nashik project also reflects Maharashtra's continued investment in clean energy infrastructure as industries and developers accelerate the adoption of advanced photovoltaic technologies to meet sustainability goals and reduce dependence on conventional power sources.
