Ceigall India Secures 337 MW Solar PPAs in Maharashtra, Expands Clean Energy Footprint
Mar 26, 2026
Ceigall India has strengthened its presence in the renewable energy sector by signing two long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Ceigall Green Energy MH1 and Ceigall Green Energy MH2.
The agreements involve the development of solar photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 337 MW under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0). The first project, with a capacity of 190 MW, will be implemented across four districts in Maharashtra, with an estimated EPC investment of around Rs 772 crore. The second project, sized at 147 MW, will be developed in two districts, carrying an approximate EPC cost of Rs 597 crore. Together, the projects represent a combined investment of nearly Rs 1,369 crore and are scheduled for completion within 18 months.
The scope of work includes end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction of the solar plants, followed by operations and maintenance services. The projects are backed by long-term PPAs, ensuring a stable power supply commitment for a period of 25 years.
Commenting on the development, Chairman and Managing Director Ramneek Sehgal highlighted that the agreements mark a significant step in the company’s transition toward becoming a large-scale renewable energy platform. He emphasised the company’s focus on building assets that offer long-term, stable returns while supporting India’s clean energy goals.
This development reflects Ceigall India’s strategic diversification beyond its core infrastructure business, positioning the company as both a developer and operator in the renewable energy space. The projects are expected to enhance its project pipeline visibility while establishing a sustained footprint in solar power generation.
