CG Power Posts Record Q3FY26 Performance on Strong Orders and Margin Expansion

Jan 28, 2026

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited reported a robust financial performance for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025, driven by strong order inflows, disciplined execution, and sustained demand across its businesses.

The company delivered its highest-ever standalone quarterly revenue and profit before tax (PBT) in recent years during Q3FY26, continuing the positive momentum built in the first half of the fiscal year.

Strong Quarterly Growth and Record Financials

During Q3FY26, CG Power’s standalone sales rose 22% year-on-year to Rs 2,909 crore, compared to Rs 2,389 crore in the same quarter last year. Profit before tax (before exceptional items) increased 35% YoY to Rs 454 crore, with margins expanding by 148 basis points to 15.6% of sales, up from 14.1% in Q3FY25.

EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 480 crore, reflecting a 33% YoY growth, while the EBITDA margin improved to 16.5%. Both revenue and profitability figures represent the company’s strongest quarterly performance in recent times.

Order Book Expands Sharply

Order momentum remained strong, with the company’s order backlog rising 66% YoY to Rs 14,859 crore, highlighting sustained demand across its portfolio and providing strong revenue visibility for future quarters.

Nine-Month Performance Remains Solid

For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, CG Power recorded sales of Rs 8,202 crore, marking a 21% YoY increase. EBITDA rose 29% to Rs 1,322 crore, while PBT (before exceptional items) increased 30% to Rs 1,246 crore.

Profit after tax (PAT) for the nine-month period stood at Rs 905 crore, compared to Rs 699 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Exceptional Items

The company noted that exceptional items during the quarter relate to the incremental impact arising from the implementation of the new labour code, which became effective from November 21, 2025.

Outlook

The strong quarterly and nine-month performance underscores CG Power’s operating discipline, strategic focus, and execution strength, positioning the company well to capitalize on continued demand in the industrial and power equipment segments.
