CleanMax Targets INR 7,000 Crore Investment to Add 1,500 MW Renewable Capacity

Mar 27, 2026

Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions is gearing up for a major expansion, with plans to invest around Rs 7,000 crore to add 1,500 MW of solar and wind capacity by FY27. The move is aimed at significantly boosting its energy sales portfolio amid rising demand for clean power from commercial and industrial consumers.

The company’s current operational energy sales capacity stands at approximately 3,000 MW, a sharp increase from about 1,700 MW recorded in April 2025. According to Managing Director Kuldeep Jain, the company is well-capitalised to support its growth plans over the next few years, with a clear focus on scaling renewable capacity.

During the current financial year, CleanMax added nearly 1,300 MW of capacity, with solar contributing around 85 percent and wind making up the remaining 15 percent. This reflects the company’s continued emphasis on solar-led growth while maintaining a diversified renewable mix.

At present, CleanMax operates off-site renewable projects across key states including Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu. The company plans to further expand within these regions while also entering new markets such as Andhra Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Upcoming projects in Andhra Pradesh are expected to include both solar and wind installations, whereas Uttarakhand developments are likely to focus primarily on solar energy.

In addition to its off-site portfolio, CleanMax has a strong presence in distributed renewable energy, operating rooftop solar installations for corporate clients across 22 states.

As of March 2026, the company’s total contracted energy sales capacity has reached around 5.7 GW, up from 4.4 GW a year earlier. Backed by its recent Rs 3,100 crore IPO, CleanMax is positioning itself for sustained growth, aiming to capitalise on India’s accelerating transition toward renewable energy.
