Delta Renewable Energy Awards Rs 99 Crore EPC Contract to Remon Solutions for Solar Projects in Tamil Nadu

Delta Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Orient Green Power Company Limited (OGPCL), has awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract valued at Rs 99.42 crore to Remon Solutions for the development of 17.60 MW (AC), equivalent to 24.64 MW (DC), of solar power capacity in Tamil Nadu.

The company disclosed in a regulatory filing that the Rights Issue Committee of OGPCL’s Board of Directors has approved the EPC arrangement. Following this approval, Delta Renewable Energy formally executed the contract with Remon Solutions on December 29, 2025.

Under the terms of the agreement, Remon Solutions will develop the solar projects on an EPC basis across one or more sites located in Vandavasi Taluk and Chetpet Taluk of Thiruvannamalai district. The projects are scheduled to be completed by May 31, 2026.

The contract award forms part of Orient Green Power’s broader diversification strategy as it expands beyond its established wind power portfolio into the solar energy segment. Earlier this month, the company commissioned its first 7 MW (AC) solar project in Tamil Nadu through Delta Renewable Energy.

To support its entry into solar power generation, Orient Green Power had previously raised capital through a Rights Issue to develop a 25 MW (AC) solar portfolio. While a portion of this capacity has already been commissioned, Delta Renewable Energy is currently in the process of finalising land parcels for the remaining 18 MW (AC) projects, the company added.
