Desco Infratech and KP Group Join Forces for Hydrogen-Natural Gas Blending Projects

Oct 25, 2025

Desco Infratech has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KPI Green Hydrogen and Ammonia and Naveriya Gas to develop hydrogen-natural gas blending projects in India’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector.

The partnership aims to reduce carbon emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and accelerate India’s transition toward clean and sustainable energy. By combining hydrogen with natural gas, the initiative seeks to utilize existing gas infrastructure more effectively while contributing to the country’s net-zero emission goals and the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Under the agreement, KPI Green Hydrogen will produce green hydrogen, while Desco Infratech will provide its engineering and technological expertise to blend hydrogen with natural gas. Naveriya Gas will integrate this blended fuel into its CGD network, ensuring a reliable and environmentally friendly energy supply.

This collaboration marks a significant step toward building green infrastructure that strengthens India’s energy security and supports the nation’s clean energy roadmap.

Malhar P. Desai, Whole-Time Director at Desco Infratech, said, “This partnership is a responsibility we owe to future generations. Together, we are blending innovation with sustainability to power a greener, stronger India.”

Through this alliance, Desco Infratech reaffirms its commitment to developing efficient, sustainable, and future-ready energy solutions.
