Desco Infratech Secures Rs40.43 Crore Solar and Power Infrastructure Orders from KP Group
Feb 17, 2026
Surat-based EPC giant Desco Infratech has made its entry into the renewable energy sector by securing orders worth Rs40.43 crore from Sun Drops Energia and KP Energy, both subsidiaries of the KP Group.
The contract with Sun Drops Energia focuses on the execution of solar infrastructure projects, whereas the KP Energy order involves cable laying and digging works across Gujarat.
Over the years, Desco Infratech has established a strong foothold in India’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector, delivering underground steel pipelines, MDPE networks, and last-mile connectivity projects across multiple states. These projects have honed the company’s technical expertise and instilled a disciplined approach to execution and problem-solving.
Building on this foundation, Desco is now expanding into power and renewable energy infrastructure. The recent orders signify a strategic progression, leveraging existing capabilities in adjacent energy sectors that are shaping India’s future.
Pankaj Pruthu Desai, Managing Director of Desco Infratech, stated, “Our journey began with building strong capabilities in underground utility infrastructure through CGD projects. These new orders mark a significant milestone as we extend our expertise into solar and power infrastructure. Growth should be capability-driven and sustainable. By strengthening what we do best and applying it to complementary sectors, we are evolving into a diversified energy infrastructure company.”
Desai added that with ongoing participation across CGD, power, and solar projects, Desco Infratech continues to expand its multi-vertical presence while maintaining a focus on execution excellence and long-term value creation.
