Ecoren Group Signs INR 76,250 Crore MoU with Andhra Pradesh for 8 GW Renewable Energy Projects
Nov 22, 2025
Ecoren Group has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to invest INR 76,250 crore in developing 8 GW of renewable energy capacity and 1.25 MTPA of green molecules, reinforcing the state’s push toward large-scale clean energy expansion.
The MoU was formalised during the CII Partnership Summit 2025 held in Visakhapatnam. This strategic agreement positions Andhra Pradesh as a significant hub in India’s rapidly growing green industrial ecosystem.
According to Ecoren Group, the initiative is expected to generate more than 12,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, stimulating regional growth while contributing to India’s broader decarbonisation objectives.
Expressing gratitude in a social media post, the company stated its appreciation for the support from the Andhra Pradesh government and the CII Summit team, adding that it looks forward to helping build a cleaner and more resilient future for both the state and the country.
Earlier, in April 2025, Ecoren signed an MoU with the Telangana government to establish 3,279 MW of wind–solar hybrid projects, 1,650 MWp of floating solar, and 650 MWp of ground-mounted solar installations—an investment commitment of approximately INR 27,000 crore.
Ecoren Energy has steadily expanded its footprint as both an EPC and IPP across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, with more than 1.5 GW already commissioned and contracts in hand for 5 GW of future projects. The company has set an ambitious goal of reaching 30 GW of capacity by 2030.
