Evren and Axis Energy Sign Rs 1.10 Lakh Crore MoU with Andhra Pradesh for Large-Scale RE Projects
Nov 15, 2025
The Andhra Pradesh government has signed an MoU valued at nearly Rs 1.10 lakh crore with ABC Cleantech (Evren) and Axis Energy Ventures to develop large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects in the state. The agreement was executed by NREDCAP in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Evren — a joint venture between Brookfield Renewables and Axis Energy — will set up 6,500 MW of wind power, 6,500 MW of solar power, 6,500 MWh of energy storage, as well as facilities to produce 0.25 MTPA of green hydrogen and 1 MTPA of its derivatives.
The generated power will support state discoms and energy-intensive sectors including data centres, green hydrogen production, and clean manufacturing. These projects will greatly enhance Andhra Pradesh’s renewable energy portfolio and contribute to India’s broader decarbonisation goals.
