Global Cleantech Expo Odisha Launches in Bhubaneswar, Brings Together 200+ International Firms to Propel Net Zero Agenda

Feb 21, 2026

The inaugural Global Cleantech Expo Odisha opened at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar, marking a significant milestone for Eastern India’s clean energy landscape. The two-day event gathered more than 200 companies from over 20 countries, spotlighting advancements in renewable energy, battery storage, electric mobility, and green hydrogen, while reinforcing Odisha’s ambitious 10 GW clean energy roadmap.

The summit was inaugurated by Gokulananda Mallik, Minister of State (Independent Charge), MSME Department, Government of Odisha. In his address, he underlined the state’s proactive measures to support MSMEs through subsidies, credit guarantees, and policy incentives aimed at accelerating clean energy adoption. He noted that nearly 5,000 MSMEs in Odisha are already active within the clean energy ecosystem and reiterated the vision of expanding solar access to households across the state.

Organised with the support of the NetZero Energy Transition Association (NETRA), the expo positioned Odisha as an emerging hub for sustainable technology and investment. Industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and investors participated in discussions centred on India’s Net Zero 2070 target, startup-driven innovation, and the role of MSMEs in advancing climate and economic objectives.

The event featured prominent clean energy companies including Luminous Power Technologies, alongside several domestic and international players showcasing cutting-edge solutions across solar power, energy storage systems, EV infrastructure, and green hydrogen technologies. Senior representatives from key state energy bodies and distribution companies also contributed insights on grid modernisation and renewable integration.

Odisha’s broader clean energy ambitions—ranging from battery storage expansion and electric mobility to emerging technologies such as floating solar, agro-PV, tidal energy, and advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS)—were central themes throughout the exhibition. The expo is expected to draw over 10,000 business visitors and more than 1,000 conference delegates, fostering investment dialogue, technology exchange, and strategic partnerships across Eastern India and neighbouring states.

With strong international participation and focused industry engagement, the Global Cleantech Expo Odisha is set to accelerate renewable energy manufacturing, innovation, and infrastructure development, strengthening the state’s position in India’s evolving clean energy ecosystem.
