India–Netherlands Explore Hydrogen Collaboration During MNRE Secretary’s Visit

A high-level delegation led by Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), visited the Energy Academy building at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands — recognized as the most sustainable educational facility. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in clean energy, with a particular focus on the hydrogen sector.

Key discussions revolved around establishing joint testing facilities and launching collaborative research projects, especially in the area of waste-to-hydrogen technologies. This engagement marks a strategic step toward deepening India–Netherlands clean energy ties and advancing innovation in green hydrogen production, with the potential to support India's broader energy transition goals.
