Indian Oil Invites EPC Bids for 1 MW Solar Project in Delhi

Nov 04, 2025

Bids due by November 24, 2025

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 1 MW grid-connected solar power project at its LPG bottling plant in Tikri Kalan, Delhi. The scope also includes five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services.

The project will operate under the group net metering mechanism, with the Indian Oil Bhawan in Yusuf Sarai, New Delhi, as the beneficiary location. The estimated contract value is Rs 62.15 million (~$700,000).

Interested bidders must submit their proposals by November 24, 2025, with bids scheduled to open the following day. Participants are required to furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 156,000 (~$1,757), and the successful bidder will need to provide 10% of the contract value as performance security.

Eligibility criteria stipulate that bidders should have completed:

  • Three similar projects costing at least Rs 18.08 million (~$203,600) each, or
  • Two similar projects of Rs 24.11 million (~$271,500) each, or
  • One project worth at least Rs 30.13 million (~$339,400) in the past seven years.

Additionally, bidders must have had a minimum annual turnover of Rs 36.16 million (~$407,000) in any of the last three financial years.

This tender follows recent solar initiatives by Indian Oil and its subsidiaries. In August, IndianOil Petronas, a joint venture with Malaysia’s Petronas, floated a tender for the maintenance of a 3.4 MW solar project in Tamil Nadu. Earlier in May, IOCL invited bids for the O&M of a 5 MW solar project in Rajasthan.
