Oct 24, 2025

REI Expo and The Battery Show India to unite global innovators, investors, and policymakers to accelerate India’s clean energy transition

Informa Markets in India, the nation’s leading organizer of B2B industry platforms, has announced the 18th edition of the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo, Asia’s largest clean energy exhibition. Scheduled from October 30 to November 1, 2025, at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, REI 2025 will be co-located with the 3rd edition of The Battery Show India (TBSI). Together, the events will create an integrated ecosystem covering renewable generation, energy storage, and e-mobility solutions under the theme “Decoding Pathways to Achieve Net Zero.”

A Global Platform for Clean Energy Innovation

Following the remarkable success of its 17th edition in 2024, the upcoming REI Expo aims to set new benchmarks in innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. This year’s edition will feature 700+ exhibitors, 1,000 brands, and 35,000 visitors, alongside 250 global thought leaders and policymakers.

The event will showcase a wide spectrum of renewable technologies, including solar, wind, biomass, battery storage, EV charging, and inverter solutions, encouraging cross-sector collaboration and global partnerships.

The Battery Show India 2025: Powering India’s Energy Storage Vision

Running concurrently, TBSI 2025 stands as South Asia’s foremost platform for advanced battery manufacturing and storage technologies. Supported by the Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Heavy Industries, TBSI will bring together 350+ exhibitors and 400+ brands, featuring participation from 20,000+ professionals across the global energy and mobility sectors.

Strong Government and International Participation

The Government of Odisha joins as the State Partner, reflecting India’s policy commitment toward advancing the energy storage and battery manufacturing ecosystem. International participation includes pavilions from Germany, Belgium, China, Japan, Korea, and other EU nations, with support from the European Union’s Cluster Collaboration Platform.

A Start-up Pavilion and Investor Zone will connect innovators with investors, while the Bio Energy Pavilion, supported by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), will feature 65 global exhibitors showcasing sustainable bioenergy technologies.

Major exhibitors include Reliance, Adani Solar, Vikram Solar, Waaree, Havells, Goldi Solar, Axitec, FIMER, Gautam Solar, GREW Energy, Emmvee Photovoltaic Power, and Luminous Power. The Battery Show will also feature leading players such as Semco, BASF, Rubamin, Thermofisher, CBC Corporation, Encore, Indygreen, and TVS Indeon.

Industry Insights from Informa Markets

Commenting on the announcement, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, said:

“Renewable Energy India 2025 mirrors the nation’s determined march toward energy independence and sustainability. With over 233 GW of renewable capacity—up from 76 GW in 2014—India has firmly established itself as a global clean energy leader. REI and TBSI 2025 will be pivotal in driving innovation, investment, and collaboration toward our shared Net Zero vision.”

Driving Partnerships, Innovation, and Policy Dialogue

The three-day event will feature the Energy Storage Summit India (ESS India) and specialized sessions covering battery financing models, investment de-risking, and policy frameworks shaping India’s energy storage and EV ecosystem. Discussions will focus on topics such as circular economy, second-life battery use, advanced manufacturing, and gigafactory scale-up strategies.

Key highlights include the CEO/CXO Conclave, CTO Forum, and the prestigious REI Awards, celebrating excellence in renewable innovation. Over 26 knowledge sessions featuring global experts and policymakers will explore India’s renewable roadmap and its integration with global frameworks like the PLI and ALMM schemes.

India’s Renewable and EV Momentum

India is projected to invest over US$360 billion in renewable energy and related infrastructure by 2030, targeting 500 GW of non-fossil capacity. The nation’s installed renewable capacity has already tripled to over 226 GW, reinforcing its leadership in clean energy growth.

Meanwhile, the Indian EV battery market is expected to rise from US$16.77 billion in 2023 to US$27.7 billion by 2028, with the Battery Management System (BMS) market projected to grow from US$278 million in 2024 to US$1.22 billion by 2033.

The REI-TBSI Expo 2025 thus serves as a vital platform for collaboration across renewables, EVs, and energy storage, driving India’s sustainable future through innovation, investment, and strategic partnerships.
