INOX Air Products Signs 20-Year Gas Supply Agreement with Premier Energies for Andhra Solar Cell Facility

Oct 31, 2025

INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has signed a 20-year on-site gas supply agreement with Premier Energies for its upcoming solar cell manufacturing facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. Under this long-term partnership, INOXAP will install and operate a new cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU) to deliver ultra-high-purity nitrogen, oxygen, and other industrial gases essential for solar cell production.

Operating on a Build-Own-Operate model, the new ASU will supply 7,000 Nm³/h of 5N-grade gaseous nitrogen and 250 Nm³/h of 6N-grade gaseous oxygen, alongside additional liquid products. The unit is expected to be commissioned next year, further strengthening INOXAP’s role as a key enabler in India’s solar manufacturing value chain.

This agreement builds upon a four-year collaboration between INOXAP and Premier Energies, marking the latest in a series of long-term on-site contracts for industrial gas supply.

Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products, said:

“We are proud to deepen our partnership with Premier Energies and support India’s solar manufacturing ambitions. This new ASU, India’s first integrated facility dedicated to the solar cell industry, will deliver ultra-high-purity nitrogen and oxygen, ensuring consistent and sustainable supply for advanced solar technologies. Our commitment remains firm in enabling India’s clean energy transition through reliable industrial gas solutions.”

INOXAP has previously commissioned two 750 Nm³/h and one 1,000 Nm³/h nitrogen generators at Premier’s Hyderabad plant. The company has also begun supplying electronic-grade gases to support Premier Energies’ existing 3 GW solar PV cell production and its upcoming 4 GW expansion plans.

Surender Pal Singh Saluja, Chairman of Premier Energies, added:

“INOX Air Products has been our trusted partner in meeting our gas requirements as we expand our solar manufacturing footprint. This collaboration strengthens India’s renewable energy ecosystem and advances our vision of achieving self-reliance in clean energy production.”

The partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing India’s integrated solar cell manufacturing infrastructure, aligning with the nation’s broader renewable energy goals.
