INOXGFL Group and KP Group Partner to Develop 5 GW of Renewable Energy Projects Across India
Nov 20, 2025
INOXGFL Group and KP Group have entered into two major Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to jointly develop 5 GW of renewable energy capacity across multiple Indian states. The partnership divides the projects equally between solar and wind, with 2.5 GW of solar to be developed by KPI Green and Inox Solar, and 2.5 GW of wind by KP Energy and Inox Wind.
As part of the collaboration, Inox Green Energy Services will handle operations and maintenance (O&M) for all the wind turbine generators and solar modules deployed across the projects.
2.5 GW Solar Collaboration: KPI Green + Inox Solar
Under the solar-focused MoU:
• KPI Green Energy will lead end-to-end project development, which includes securing connectivity approvals, acquiring land, managing right-of-way requirements, obtaining statutory clearances, and executing EPC and Balance of Plant (BOP) work. KPI Green will also supply steel structures (solar MMS) and provide O&M services.
• Inox Solar will supply solar modules, carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning, and oversee O&M of the solar assets.
This coordinated approach enables both companies to combine KPI’s development expertise with Inox Solar’s manufacturing and technological strengths for high-quality project delivery.
KP Group Chairman and MD Dr. Faruk G. Patel highlighted the significance of the collaboration, stating that the partnership reflects KPI’s vision of building large-scale, integrated renewable assets. He noted that the synergy between KPI’s on-ground execution and Inox Solar’s manufacturing excellence will create a strong foundation for delivering major solar and hybrid projects across the country.
INOXGFL Group’s Group CEO – Renewables, Kailash Tarachandani, added that the strategic partnership leverages Inox Solar’s engineering depth and KPI’s proven execution capabilities, enabling both companies to confidently develop large-scale renewable energy solutions nationwide.
2.5 GW Wind Collaboration: KP Energy + Inox Wind
The second MoU covers the development of 2.5 GW of wind energy:
• KP Energy will oversee project development, including connectivity, land and ROW acquisition, statutory approvals, EPC, and BOP execution. The company will also manage O&M of the BOP infrastructure.
• Inox Wind will supply wind turbine generators and related systems, provide engineering support covering USS design, transformer specifications, and foundation design, and manage pre-commissioning, commissioning, and O&M of the turbines.
According to Dr. Patel, the partnership combines KP Energy’s project development capabilities with Inox Wind’s proven engineering and manufacturing strengths, building a solid platform for delivering complex wind and hybrid renewable assets at scale. He added that the collaboration aligns with KP Group’s long-term mission to develop reliable, integrated clean energy solutions that contribute to India’s national renewable targets.
Tarachandani emphasized that the partnership reflects the combined strengths of two leading renewable energy players. He noted that Inox Wind’s product reliability and manufacturing quality, paired with KP Energy’s execution expertise, position both companies to capitalize on large-scale clean energy opportunities with confidence.
