INOXGFL Group Launches 3 GW Solar Module Facility and 1.2 GW Wind Component Plant in Gujarat

Dec 19, 2025

The INOXGFL Group has commissioned major renewable energy manufacturing assets in Gujarat, with the inauguration of a 3 GW solar module manufacturing facility by Inox Solar and a 1.2 GW nacelle and hub manufacturing plant by Inox Wind near Ahmedabad.

The facilities were inaugurated by Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi. Inox Solar has completed the first phase of its advanced 3 GW solar module manufacturing unit at Bavla, Ahmedabad. The fully automated plant is equipped with modern production technologies and is designed to manufacture next-generation N-type TOPCon solar modules using M10R and G12R solar cells, the company said.

In addition, the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated Inox Wind’s nacelle and hub manufacturing facility at Kalyangarh, near Ahmedabad, with an annual capacity of 1.2 GW. Built in line with global manufacturing standards and certified by the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), the plant will produce nacelles and hubs for Inox Wind’s 3 MW class turbines as well as its upcoming 4X MW class wind turbine platform.

The strategic location of the manufacturing units is expected to enhance logistical connectivity to renewable energy project sites across western and southern India. According to the company, this will help streamline transportation, improve execution efficiency, and reduce overall project timelines.

Explaining the significance of the facilities, the company noted that the nacelle houses critical power-generation components such as the gearbox, generator, and electrical control systems, while the hub connects the rotor blades to the main shaft—together forming the central operating core of a wind turbine.

Addressing the inauguration, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi said that renewable energy remains central to India’s long-term growth vision, with Gujarat playing a leading role in the country’s clean energy transition. He stated that the commissioning of world-class solar and wind manufacturing facilities underscores the state’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and industrial development.

Sanghavi added that such investments significantly strengthen India’s renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem, create employment opportunities, promote technological leadership, and support national energy security. He also highlighted that the facilities are expected to generate over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, benefiting local communities.

Commenting on the developments, Devansh Jain, Executive Director of the INOXGFL Group, said the new nacelle and hub plant will enable Inox Wind to expand its product portfolio to include 4X MW class turbines, in addition to manufacturing its existing 3 MW models. This expansion, he noted, will help the company reach a wider customer base across western and southern India.

Jain further outlined the group’s growth roadmap for its solar business, stating that Inox aims to build a cumulative solar module manufacturing capacity of 11 GW and solar cell capacity of 8 GW by FY27, across India and overseas markets. He added that the solar business could generate annual revenues exceeding Rs 20,000 crore, with consolidated revenues for Inox Clean expected to scale to approximately Rs 30,000 crore by FY28.
