Jayram Industries Secures O&M Contract for NTPC’s 4 MW Solar-BESS Project
Apr 15, 2026
Jayram Industries has emerged as the successful bidder for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 4 MW solar project integrated with a 1.25 MWh battery energy storage system at a facility of NTPC Limited.
The project is located at the NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA) complex in Noida and will supply power to Phase I and II buildings, the hostel, and various pilot installations within the campus. The tender for this work was issued in November last year.
The O&M contract has been awarded for a period of two years, with an option for extension by an additional six months at NTPC’s discretion. As part of its responsibilities, Jayram Industries will manage round-the-clock operations of both the solar installation and the battery storage system, ensuring uninterrupted power supply across the NETRA complex.
The scope of work includes routine maintenance of key components such as inverters, power conversion systems, transformers, and solar panels, along with periodic cleaning and performance monitoring. The company is also required to submit daily and monthly power generation reports to NTPC.
This project operates as a microgrid—an independent, localized energy system capable of generating and storing electricity through solar panels and battery storage. Alongside this setup, Noida Power Company Limited continues to supply additional electricity to the facility at 33 kV, ensuring reliable and efficient energy support.
