Kandla Moves Closer to Becoming a Green Hydrogen Hub

In a major step toward India's green hydrogen ambitions, Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) has successfully tested 1 MW electrolyzer stacks, which are now ready for installation at Kandla. This milestone strengthens DPA’s vision of becoming a leading Green Hydrogen Hub in the country.

An electrolyzer stack is the core component of hydrogen production, utilizing renewable electricity to split water molecules into hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂). Once operational, this project will contribute to India's clean energy transition by enabling the production of sustainable hydrogen fuel.
