Karnataka Power Corporation Issues O&M Tender for 3 MW Solar Plant in Raichur
Feb 24, 2026
Bids invited for one-year operation and maintenance contract; submission deadline set for March 2, 2026. Karnataka Power Corporation (KPCL) has released a tender seeking operation and maintenance (O&M) services for its 3 MW solar power project located at Yapaladinni village in Raichur district. The contract period will be for one year.
The selected contractor will be responsible for comprehensive O&M of all installed equipment at the project site. The scope includes upkeep of equipment foundations, minor repair works, regular cleaning of solar modules, and maintenance of the control room as well as the administrative building.
The deadline for bid submission is March 2, 2026, with bid opening scheduled for the following day.
The successful bidder will be required to submit a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the contract value. Additionally, the contractor must ensure a minimum annual energy generation of 2.453 million units (MU) during the O&M tenure. In case KPCL undertakes improvement works, such as replacing solar modules, the minimum guaranteed generation will be adjusted accordingly.
A penalty of Rs6 (~$0.066) per kWh will be imposed for any shortfall in achieving the guaranteed annual generation of 2.453 MU. However, grid unavailability and major equipment failures will be exempt from penalty calculations. The shortfall penalty will be assessed annually.
Furthermore, penalties of up to 10% of the contract value may be levied if the contractor fails to complete the full one-year O&M term or does not maintain the plant as per stipulated standards. Such penalties will be applied at the conclusion of the contract period.
