KEC International Wins INR 1,180 Crore in Fresh Orders, Expands Renewable Energy and Power Infrastructure Portfolio
Jul 15, 2026
KEC International Ltd., the infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) arm of the RPG Group, has secured new orders worth INR 1,180 crore, reinforcing its strong order pipeline across renewable energy, power transmission and distribution (T&D), civil infrastructure, and cables and conductors. With these latest wins, the company's cumulative order intake for FY2026-27 has crossed INR 5,200 crore, reflecting sustained demand for power and infrastructure projects in India and overseas.
A major highlight of the latest order book is a 200 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in western India, awarded by an existing client. The project further strengthens KEC International's growing presence in India's renewable energy EPC market, where utility-scale solar installations continue to accelerate in line with the country's target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel electricity capacity by 2030. The repeat order also underscores the company's ability to secure business from established customers through timely project execution and technical expertise.
Beyond renewables, KEC has secured additional civil and structural works for a 150 MW thermal power plant in eastern India, highlighting its diversified infrastructure portfolio. While India's long-term energy strategy focuses on expanding renewable capacity, thermal power continues to play a crucial role in maintaining grid reliability and meeting peak electricity demand, creating ongoing opportunities for engineering and construction companies.
The company's Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business also recorded significant order inflows across multiple geographies. In India, KEC has been awarded a 400 kV transmission line project designed to supply electricity to a data centre in western India. The project represents the company's first transmission order dedicated to supporting data centre infrastructure, a rapidly expanding segment driven by increasing cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital services, and enterprise data storage requirements. As India's digital economy grows, demand for reliable high-voltage transmission infrastructure is expected to rise alongside the development of hyperscale data centres.
Internationally, KEC has secured orders for the supply of transmission line towers in the Middle East, along with contracts for towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas. The company also received multiple orders in its cables and conductors business across domestic and overseas markets, further strengthening its manufacturing and supply business alongside its EPC operations.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director and CEO Vimal Kejriwal stated that the company is encouraged by the broad-based order wins across multiple business segments. He noted that the transmission project supporting a data centre marks an important milestone for KEC's T&D business, while the sizeable tower supply order from the Middle East further reinforces its international presence. He also highlighted that the new solar project reflects the company's strong relationships with existing clients and confidence in its execution capabilities.
KEC International remains one of India's leading infrastructure EPC companies, with operations spanning power transmission and distribution, renewables, railways, civil infrastructure, urban infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines, and cables. The company is currently executing projects in more than 30 countries and maintains a business footprint across over 110 countries through EPC services and the global supply of transmission towers and cables.
The latest order announcements come at a time when India's infrastructure investment cycle is gaining momentum, supported by rapid expansion in renewable energy, transmission networks, industrial development, and digital infrastructure. As governments and private developers continue investing in grid modernization, clean energy integration, and high-capacity power infrastructure, diversified EPC companies such as KEC International are expected to benefit from sustained project opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
