KLK Ventures Bags PM KUSUM Contract to Deploy 1,000 Solar Pump Systems in Maharashtra

Jan 03, 2026

KLK Ventures Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded a contract to install 1,000 solar-powered water pumping systems across Maharashtra under the Government of India’s PM KUSUM scheme, marking a significant addition to the company’s renewable energy project portfolio.

The project involves the engineering, procurement, and installation of solar pump units with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP, designed to offer farmers dependable and environmentally friendly irrigation alternatives. The systems will help reduce reliance on conventional grid power and diesel pumps, lowering both fuel costs and emissions.

This large-scale rollout is expected to enhance energy access in rural regions, while supporting sustainable farming practices and water management. The initiative also aligns with Maharashtra’s broader objectives of expanding clean energy use and advancing decarbonisation efforts within the agricultural sector.

Commenting on the order, Akshat Jain, Chief Executive Officer of KLK Ventures, said the project highlights the trust placed in the company’s technical strength and on-ground execution capabilities. He noted that KLK Ventures is focused on delivering reliable renewable energy solutions that create long-term value for farmers and other stakeholders.

With this latest order, KLK Ventures further consolidates its role as an important implementation partner under national solar programmes, contributing to India’s goal of accelerating renewable energy adoption and strengthening the agricultural economy.
