Kshema Power Names Mohan Shanmugam as Overall Head of Projects

Kshema Power has appointed seasoned industry professional Mohan Shanmugam as its Overall Head of Projects, strengthening its leadership team as it accelerates global expansion. With more than 30 years of experience across large-scale power and transmission infrastructure, Shanmugam’s addition is expected to significantly bolster the company’s project delivery capabilities.

Shanmugam has an extensive track record in the energy sector, having executed major power and transmission projects across India and the Middle East. Most recently, he served as Senior Project Director at Al Gihaz Holding in Saudi Arabia, where he oversaw the complete delivery of critical Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission and Smart RMU projects valued at over SAR 3.8 billion. His responsibilities ranged from competitive bidding and tendering to end-to-end project execution and financial coordination across multiple regions.

His earlier leadership roles include managing senior execution teams for key wind energy projects at Senvion India and Alfanar-India, further strengthening his expertise in renewable and grid infrastructure.

Shanmugam’s role as Overall Head of Projects will include establishing a strategic framework to elevate Kshema Power’s execution standards. His mandate spans standardising project management processes, refining staffing models, accelerating timelines for major contracts, building stronger client and on-ground engagement, and enhancing the company’s overall delivery excellence across all project sites. These efforts are expected to help Kshema Power maintain its reputation for reliability and speed in the evolving energy transition space.
