LEAPTING Wins Contract to Deploy Cleaning Robots at Waaree’s 1.2 GWp Solar Projects in Rajasthan
Jan 08, 2026
Solar automation solutions provider LEAPTING has entered into its first partnership with Waaree Renewable Technologies to supply and deploy automatic G1 photovoltaic module cleaning robots across three large-scale solar projects in Rajasthan. The installations collectively account for approximately 1.2 GWp of solar capacity and are built on 2P fixed-tilt structures.
Under the agreement, LEAPTING will deploy more than 2,000 robotic cleaning units, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion within India’s utility-scale solar segment. According to the company, the collaboration highlights its growing role in solar plant automation, with a focus on improving operational availability, managing soiling losses effectively, and delivering dependable service support for large solar assets.
The G1 Automatic Solar Module Cleaning Robots are designed to operate in demanding utility-scale environments and are well-suited to Indian site conditions. The systems offer fully automated, unmanned cleaning, significantly reducing reliance on manual labour. Their waterless dry-cleaning technology supports sustainability goals while helping conserve water in arid regions.
Engineered for large solar installations, including tracker-based layouts, the robots ensure smooth movement across module arrays and deliver high cleaning efficiency, enabling solar plants to maintain consistent output throughout the year. LEAPTING noted that the technology’s low operating and maintenance costs, combined with its reliability in dusty and high-temperature climates, make it particularly effective for challenging environments such as those found in Rajasthan.
Commenting on the collaboration, LEAPTING stated that long-term partnerships are built on performance, trust, and service quality. The company added that it looks forward to working closely with Waaree Renewable Technologies to support sustained plant performance through advanced technology and comprehensive service support.
The Waaree engagement adds to LEAPTING’s recent momentum in India’s solar sector. In December 2025, the company secured an order from ReNew Power to deploy solar cleaning robots across more than 1 GW of capacity, covering projects in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh and Bhadla, Rajasthan. Earlier, LEAPTING also announced an intelligent equipment supply agreement with the Adani Group for the deployment of automatic G1 cleaning robots and integrated smart cleaning systems for 2 GW of photovoltaic projects across India.
