LNK Energy Enters Clean Energy Sector with Rs 10,000 Crore Investment Roadmap, Plans 6 GW Solar Manufacturing Hub in Maharashtra

Jan 20, 2026

LNK Energy has officially commenced operations as an integrated clean energy company, outlining an investment plan of Rs 10,000 crore to be deployed over the next five years. The company will focus on advanced manufacturing, renewable power generation, and green fuel development, aligning with India’s clean energy transition and long-term energy security goals.

Marking its first major development, LNK Energy will set up a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. The project will encompass the production of solar cells and modules along with backward integration into ingot and wafer manufacturing. Spread across more than 60 acres, the facility is designed to manufacture high-efficiency solar products using advanced technologies and global quality benchmarks. The company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra for the establishment of the project.

LNK Energy has been co-founded by Paritosh Ladhani, Joint Managing Director of SLMG Beverages; Dr. Kushagra Nandan, Co-Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of REnergy Dynamics (RED) and former Co-Founder and Managing Director of SunSource Energy; and Varun Karad, a bioenergy entrepreneur and Co-Founder and CEO of RED. The founding team brings together extensive experience in large-scale manufacturing, renewable energy development, and institutional capital deployment.

Speaking on the company’s launch, Paritosh Ladhani stated that LNK Energy aims to deliver scale, quality, and execution discipline in clean energy manufacturing while adhering to global standards. Dr. Kushagra Nandan added that the company has been envisioned as a long-term institution aligned with national priorities such as energy security, industrial self-reliance, and decarbonisation.

Varun Karad highlighted that LNK Energy’s integrated business model—spanning manufacturing, green fuels, and renewable power—has been structured to provide reliable, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions for India’s growing economy.

LNK Energy’s long-term strategy focuses on end-to-end participation across the energy value chain, supported by future-ready technologies, backward integration, and disciplined capital allocation. Beyond solar manufacturing, the company plans to expand into adjacent components such as junction boxes, battery platforms, and energy storage systems to strengthen India’s domestic clean energy ecosystem.

In addition to manufacturing, LNK Energy intends to enter the green fuels segment, with a strong emphasis on green hydrogen to aid the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate industries. Parallelly, the company plans to develop a renewable energy generation portfolio through its role as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and via hybrid open-access models integrating solar, storage, and other renewable energy sources.
