Maharashtra Approves Rs 3.60/kWh Tariff for 13 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power

MERC approved a Rs3.60/kWh tariff for 13 MW wind-solar hybrid power proposed by MSEDCL for 25 years. Initially, MSEDCL floated a tender for 2,000 MW, plus 2,000 MW under a greenshoe option, with approved tariffs ranging from Rs3.60 to Rs3.62. Due to a filing error, 13 MW was excluded from an October 2024 order. MSEDCL corrected this by petitioning for its inclusion.

MERC found the request valid and within the original bid process.
